 River Valley has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  square off against the Bishop Hartley Hawks at 3:30  p.m.  on Saturday. One thing working in River Valley's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last four contests.
 Even though Linden-McKinley scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, River Valley still came out on top. River Valley walked away with  a   66-55  win over Linden-McKinley. Given River Valley's advantage  in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings  (they are ranked 75th, while Linden-McKinley is ranked 236th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 It was another big night for  Carson Smith, who  dropped  a double-double on 31 points and 13  rebounds. He hasn't dropped below two  steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was  Chase Ebert, who  scored 16 points along with seven  assists and five  rebounds.
 Meanwhile,  with a playoff game on the line, Bishop Hartley rose to the challenge  on Wednesday. They snuck past the Blue Aces with a  48-42 victory. The  win was nothing new for Bishop Hartley as they're now sitting on six straight.
 River Valley pushed their record up to 19-5 with that  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home. Those victories were due in large part to their  offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Bishop Hartley, their victory bumped their record up to 21-3.
