Basketball Recap: New Summerfield Comes Up Short

New Summerfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Carlisle Indians 50-22. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 43-12 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

New Summerfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Carlisle, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Summerfield will be home for the holidays to greet Overton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Summerfield is facing Overton at the right time seeing as Overton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Carlisle and Cushing will compete for holiday cheer at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Cushing will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Carlisle surely won't give up without a fight.
