Basketball Game Preview: DeSales Irish vs. Riverside Christian Crusaders

The DeSales Irish just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Riverside Christian Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

DeSales will head into Friday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 49-point drubbing they dealt Prescott on Friday. DeSales simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Prescott 78-29. The win was familiar territory for the Irish who have now won 13 contests in a row.

Meanwhile, Riverside Christian got the win against Walla Walla Valley Academy on Tuesday by a conclusive 80-54.

DeSales better focus on containing Micah Morgan and Haydn Edwards as the pair were huge in Riverside Christian's win. Morgan went 11 for 23 on his way to 25 points, while Edwards posted 21 points. With that strong performance, Edwards is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Micah Rivera, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points.

Riverside Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.7 points. As for DeSales, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1.
