Basketball Recap: Fairfax Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fairfax can now relate to. They took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Granada Hills Charter Highlanders on Thursday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2021.

Fairfax has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season. Granada Hills Charter's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-14.

Fairfax does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granada Hills Charter, they will challenge Poly at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Poly will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Granada Hills Charter surely won't give up without a fight.
