Basketball Recap: Alcorn Central Comes Up Short

Alcorn Central lost against West Union back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Alcorn Central Bears took a 65-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Union Eagles. The Bears were down 56-36 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Alcorn Central's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for West Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Alcorn Central will take on Booneville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Union, they will be taking part in a tournament against New Albany at 8:00 p.m. on January 10th.
