Basketball Recap: Katy Taylor Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Katy Taylor has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seven Lakes Spartans on Friday. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 67-41.

Seven Lakes found their leader in sophomore Willtrace Ngoh, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 22 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ngoh has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Breona Kirtz, who went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points and eight boards.

Katy Taylor's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-7. As for Seven Lakes, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-22 record this season.

Katy Taylor has already played their next game, a 76-54 victory against Katy on the 23rd. As for Seven Lakes, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-34 loss against Jordan on the 21st.
