Softball Recap: Oconto Falls Panthers vs. Waupaca Comets
Oconto Falls won the last time they faced Waupaca and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Comets by a score of 7-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Randi Metzler made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Maddy Maloney was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last nine contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Kurek, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Oconto Falls hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matches.
Oconto Falls' win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Waupaca, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
