After a string of six wins, Dixon's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rock Falls Rockets by a score of 10-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Dukes & Duchesses have suffered since May 16, 2024.

Brady Feit and Jake Whelan did some serious damage despite the final result: Feit went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Whelan went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Dixon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Rock Falls, the win got them back to even at 10-10-1.

While Dixon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
