Soccer Game Preview: Mission vs. Nixon

Mission is 0-3 against Nixon since January of 2025 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will face off against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Mission is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Mission had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the five-goal drubbing they dealt Cigarroa on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Toros with a sharp 6-1 win. Angel Salazar was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Nixon was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 5-1 to Juarez-Lincoln.

Mission's victory bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Nixon, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4-1.
