Softball Recap: Burke County Bears vs. Laney Wildcats        
        
		
             Burke County had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Laney Wildcats as they made off with  a  23-8 victory. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six  runs or more this season.
  Braylin Fare was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, four  runs,  and four  runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave  her a new career-high in  home runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Paige Sullivan, who  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Burke County is  on a roll lately: they've  won 13 of their last 14 games,  which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record  this season. As for Laney,  they are  on  an  eight-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-8.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burke County will play host again  on Wednesday to welcome Jefferson County, where first pitch is scheduled  at 5:00  p.m. One thing working in Burke County's favor is that they have posted at least ten  runs  in their last seven matchups. As for Laney, they will take on Glenn Hills at 6:35  p.m.  on Wednesday. Glenn Hills is coming into the  contest with three straight  losses on the road,  meaning Laney will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  win.
