Recap: Howard Huskies vs. Southwest Patriots
The Howard Huskies lost against the Southwest Patriots two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Howard suffered a tough 70-45 defeat at the hands of Southwest. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Howard in their matchups with Southwest: they've now lost three in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Daniel Bennett, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Ashley, who scored 13 points.
Howard's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Southwest, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Howard will head out on the road to face off against West Laurens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Laurens is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Southwest, they will face off against Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Episcopal School of Jacksonville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 241 points over their last four matches.
