Baseball Recap: Georgetown Day Comes Up Short

Georgetown Day lost against Potomac School last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mighty Hoppers came up short against the Panthers, falling 16-8. The Mighty Hoppers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Georgetown Day's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Potomac School, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgetown Day will venture away from home to square off against Maret at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mighty Hoppers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Frogs have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Potomac School, they are taking a road trip to face off against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
