Sterling had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 58-26 victory over the Madison Marlins. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Destiny Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 assists. Those 11 assists gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Morrow, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds.

Sterling smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 7.6 offensive rebounds per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.7.

When it comes to explaining why Madison lost, don't look at Damijah Paul. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points. That was a full 61.5% of Madison's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Sterling pushed their record up to 13-12 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Madison, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Coincidentally, Sterling and Madison will both be playing Milby the next time they take the court. Madison will host Milby at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, while Sterling will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
