Softball Recap: Boston English's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Boston English came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-10 margin over the Brooke Senators. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Boston English got a great performance from Jayana Williams as she struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and nine unearned) runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Alba Rodriguez was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Shelsea Jimenez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Boston English kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 7-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Boston English's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Brooke, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Boston English will host Brockton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brooke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
