Football Recap: Albertville Find Success

The third road contest was the charm for Albertville, as they earned their first away win of the season. They had just enough and edged out the Grissom Tigers 20-18. For the Aggies, this counts as revenge for the 35-21 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Albertville can attribute much of their success to CJ Zuniga, who rushed for 19 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 94 yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance also gave Zuniga a new career-high in passer rating (138.2).

Albertville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Grissom, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Albertville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Huntsville at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for Grissom, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 34-16 loss against Guntersville on the 3rd.
