Baseball Game Preview: Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers vs. Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots

The Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers will face off against the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Boyd-Buchanan came up short against McMinn County on Thursday, falling 14-4. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brodie Lowe and Hudson Jones did some serious damage despite the final result: Lowe went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, while Jones went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That's the most hits Lowe has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aaron Hise, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Lookout Valley by a score of 9-6 on Friday. The game was the first time the Patriots have beaten the Yellowjackets on their field since March 30, 2021.

Boyd-Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Boyd-Buchanan suffered a grim 20-5 defeat to Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences in their previous matchup back in April of 2021. Can Boyd-Buchanan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
