A Season-Best Effort from Jackson Resh Leads Allegany over Southern

On Friday, Allegany got the W thanks in part to Jackson Resh playing the best football he has all season. Resh's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

On the year, Resh has averaged 9.5 total tackles per game and for the season has those 1 sack. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he had one rushing touchdown. This year he is already up to seven.

Jabril Daniels' Big Game Leads Fort Hill over Mountain Ridge

Jabril Daniels was a major factor in Fort Hill's victory over Mountain Ridge on Friday. Daniels turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 172 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run.

Unfortunately for Mountain Ridge, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Daniels. Daniels rushed for 304 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.5 yards per carry the last time he and the Miners duked it out back in December of 2023.

Braelyn Younger's Rushing Yards a New Career-High

Braelyn Younger posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made four total tackles and defended two passes. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.

Allegany Gets a Boost from Bible in 51-14 Win

The second Allegany player making an appearance here is Khiante Bible, and for good reason. He rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.

On the year, Bible has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 85.7 rushing yards per game.

Luke Ross Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Friday, Northern Garrett got the W thanks in part to Luke Ross playing the best football he has all season. Ross rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

If history really does repeat itself, Ross might just drop another big game when he faces off against Mountain Ridge on Friday. Ross picked up 216 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Miners duked it out back in October of 2023.
