Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Laurel). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets 80-17. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

South Laurel found their leader in sophomore Maci Messer, who went 9 for 12 on her way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Bundy, who posted ten points.

South Laurel smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

South Laurel pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Williamsburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

South Laurel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 40-36 victory against North Laurel on the 6th. Williamsburg has also already played their next contest (against Knoxville A), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
