Volleyball Recap: Thomas Jefferson's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Thomas Jefferson and Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Thomas Jefferson had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Spartans have suffered since September 8th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-20, 25-19.

Thomas Jefferson's offense was headlined by Reese Myers and August Neuhart, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Ellie Huntsman and her 16 assists. Myers was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lutheran was led to victory by Kate Wilson and Sadie Stephens. Wilson had six digs and three aces, while Stephens had eight digs. Wilson has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 22 times she's played.

Thomas Jefferson's loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-8. As for Lutheran, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

As of now, neither Thomas Jefferson nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
