The Ludlowe Falcons will face off against the Westhill Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Ludlowe is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Ludlowe is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering New Canaan just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. Falcons fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Rams since on Wednesday.

Cristian Negron led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Joe Calabro, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Westhill waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Hatters. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted against the Hatters since April 19, 2017.

Westhill's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Ludlowe, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

Ludlowe came out on top in a nail-biter against Westhill in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
