Baseball Recap: Arlington Has No Trouble Against Hendrick Hudson

Arlington got themselves on the board against Hendrick Hudson on Wednesday, but Hendrick Hudson never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Sailors. Considering the Admirals have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Billy Cummings looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Arlington got a massive performance out of Tristan Rivera, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Rivera has become a key player for the Admirals: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Griffin White was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Arlington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .571. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

The victory got Arlington back to even at 5-5. As for Hendrick Hudson, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Coming up, Arlington will venture away from home to square off against Walter Panas at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Admirals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hendrick Hudson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pleasantville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
