Baseball Game Recap: Santa Teresa Saints vs. Pioneer Mustangs

Santa Teresa had lost four straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 8-8 to make it five. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (13-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Jacob Guevarra made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Pioneer, their win bumped their record up to 6-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Pioneer's side, Easton Deguera was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Deguera a new career-high. Griffin Bacon also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pioneer beat Santa Teresa by a score of 7-2 on Friday.
