Volleyball Recap: Viborg/Hurley Comes Up Short

Viborg/Hurley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Avon Pirates.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14, 25-14.

Avon was led to victory by Jordyn Voigt and Lexi Vanderlei. Voigt had 16 digs and two aces, while Vanderlei had 13 digs. That's the most digs Vanderlei has posted since back in September.

Viborg/Hurley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Avon, they pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Viborg/Hurley will challenge Freeman at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Avon, they will take on Centerville at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
