Football Recap: Vardaman Skates Past Thrasher with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vardaman). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over the Thrasher Rebels. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Vardaman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Moore, who rushed for 54 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Vardaman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Vardaman's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB ten times. The heavy lifting was done by Grant Parker and Kaleb Falkner, who racked up nine sacks between them.

Vardaman picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Thrasher, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Vardaman will head out on the road to square off against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Thrasher, they will square off against Hatley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
