Football Recap: Los Altos' Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Los Altos entered their tilt with Saint Francis on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 7-0. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Lancers are ranked 341st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

One reason for the win was Los Altos' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Natalie Stavrakos and Lily Whiting, who racked up all four sacks between them. Whiting also made four total tackles, which is notable because Los Altos is undefeated when she posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

Los Altos' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Saint Francis, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1.

Meanwhile, Saint Francis is set to challenge their familiar foe Sacred Heart Prep at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lancers 12.7, the Gators 6.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
