St. Marys scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 70-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ritchie County Rebels. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-30 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Isaac Hodges, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 15 boards for Ritchie County. The matchup was Hodges' 20th in a row with at least ten points. Dylan Malolepszy also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

St. Marys' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Ritchie County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

St. Marys wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-54 victory against Frontier on the 25th. As for Ritchie County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-53 defeat against Belpre on the 25th.
