Baseball Game Preview: Chamberlain Storm vs. Durant Cougars

Chamberlain hasn't had much luck against Durant recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Storm will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 10:00 a.m.

Chamberlain is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to Leto.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Durant). They put the hurt on Tampa Bay Tech with a sharp 16-2 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won five in a row.

Dylan Hotz looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Brody Lissy was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Brantley Hayward, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Durant always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Chamberlain's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Durant, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
