Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Snyder Cardinals vs. Lithonia Bulldogs

The Bishop Snyder Cardinals and the Lithonia Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Bishop Snyder saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Houston County. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 199th in Florida, while the Bears are ranked 46th in Georgia).

Meanwhile, Lithonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The game between them and Tucker didn't end well, with Lithonia falling 74-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (57), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Bishop Snyder and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Lithonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.

Bishop Snyder was dealt a bruising 66-34 loss at the hands of Lithonia when the teams last played back in November of 2019. Can Bishop Snyder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
