Soccer Game Preview: New Trier vs. Niles Notre Dame + Official Tickets

The New Trier Trevians will square off against the Niles Notre Dame Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with New Trier sitting on four straight wins and Niles Notre Dame on six.

New Trier had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Lake Forest Academy on Wednesday. The Trevians were the clear victors by a 5-2 margin over the Caxys. Considering New Trier have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Lake Forest Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Zach Myers (2), Calyx Hoover (2), and Gordon Evans.

Meanwhile, Niles Notre Dame kept a clean sheet against Payton College Prep on Tuesday. They beat the Grizzlies by a goal, winning 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Niles Notre Dame were the better team in the second half.

Niles Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 12-7-1. As for New Trier, their win bumped their record up to 10-5-2.

New Trier beat Niles Notre Dame 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2018. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trevians since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
