Basketball Recap: Rosemead Comes Up Short

Rosemead lost against Gabrielino back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers fell 51-46 to the Eagles.

When it comes to explaining why Rosemead lost, don't look at Rhys Anderson. Despite the final result, he shot 63% from the field to rack up 26 points and seven rebounds. Anderson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Nguyen, who posted four points.

Rosemead's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Gabrielino, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Rosemead will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bell at 2:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Gabrielino, they have already played their next game, a 91-46 victory against Mountain View on the 17th.
