Soccer Recap: Chambers Comes Up Short

After flying high against Harding University on Tuesday, Chambers came back down to earth. The Cougars lost 9-0 to the Hopewell Titans on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Chambers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Hopewell are ranked 109th).

Chambers' loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Hopewell, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-2 record this season.

Chambers has already played their next matchup, a 2-2 draw against North Mecklenburg on the 29th. As for Hopewell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against West Mecklenburg on the 29th.
