Baseball Recap: Hayfield Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hayfield entered their tilt with Justice on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Wolves 8-1. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Connor Watson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Hayfield got a big performance out of Jacob Bueno, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Mason Archer, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Hayfield's record is now 7-4. As for Justice, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hayfield is set to take on their familiar foe Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Justice will square off against rival Annandale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
