Westminster had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Dulaney Lions by a score of 9-4. This was payback for Westminster, who suffered an 8-7 loss the last time these two teams met.
For Dulaney's part, they got a big performance out of Drew Ranck, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Mezzullo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Westminster will be playing at home against Patuxent at 4:30 p.m. on March 30th. As for Dulaney, they will head out on the road to challenge Pikesville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
