Basketball Recap: Churubusco Takes a Loss

Churubusco lost against Northfield back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Churubusco Eagles took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northfield Norsemen. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Norsemen are ranked 144th).

This is the second loss in a row for Churubusco and nudges their season record down to 7-14. As for Northfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Churubusco has already played their next contest, a 52-40 loss against Central Noble on the 31st. As for Northfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-47 win against Churubusco on the 1st.
