Basketball Recap: Princeton Comes Up Short on the Road Against North Johnston + How To Watch

Princeton had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 47-39 to the North Johnston Panthers on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Princeton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cameron Harrison, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds, and Adonis Taveras, who posted ten points and six boards.

North Johnston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaleb Pone, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 16 points and seven rebounds. Pone's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Aamari Dunston was another key player, putting up 12 points along with six boards and three steals.

Coming up, Princeton will face off against Union at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Johnston, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 66-35 defeat against Franklin Academy on the 19th.
