Basketball Recap: Brookland-Cayce Starts Season with Win Against Legion Collegiate Academy

Brookland-Cayce had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 46-37 victory over the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but the Bearcats were the better team in the second half.

Tionna Goodwin was a one-woman wrecking crew as she shot 44% from the field to rack up 22 points along with seven boards and seven steals. Kadin Enoch was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Brookland-Cayce has already played their next game, a 44-30 defeat against Heathwood Hall Episcopal on the 24th. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Indian Land at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
