Basketball Game Preview: Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers vs. Bessemer Speedboys

Ewen-Trout Creek is a perfect 10-0 against Bessemer since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers will square off against the Bessemer Speedboys at 5:30 p.m. Ewen-Trout Creek will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Ewen-Trout Creek strolled past Houghton with points to spare, taking the game 40-26.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bessemer). They blew past Watersmeet 65-29 on Monday. The Speedboys not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 27, 2024.

Ewen-Trout Creek pushed their record up to 20-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.1 points. As for Bessemer, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-19.

Everything came up roses for Ewen-Trout Creek against Bessemer in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as the team secured a 79-12 victory. Will Ewen-Trout Creek repeat their success, or does Bessemer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
