Softball Recap: Marengo Snags 14th Victory in Last 17 Games

Marengo won the last time they faced Woodstock and things went their way on Thursday too. The Indians put the hurt on the Blue Streaks with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Indians have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Marengo is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Woodstock, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
