Twin Lakes won the last time they faced Delphi Community and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians took their match with ease, bagging a 41-6 win over the Oracles. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Indians just coasted through the last quarter.
Cooper Dold had an outrageously good game as he threw for 358 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards (20). Ethan Need did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 83 receiving yards.
Twin Lakes didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ben Hodgen, Ledger Shaffer, and Cheyenne Vanweelden picked up one apiece. Twin Lakes got some further help from Matthew (Chewie) Walters: he made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Twin Lakes has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 20 points this season. As for Delphi Community, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Coming up, Twin Lakes will head out to take on Tipton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Delphi Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Oracles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
