Volleyball Recap: Central Carolina Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Central Carolina Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the River Mill Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Central Carolina Academy was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made River Mill work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 26-24.

Among those leading the charge was Anna Rominger, who had 14 digs and two aces. Those 14 digs gave her a new career-high.

Central Carolina Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for River Mill, they moved to 7-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Central Carolina Academy will take on Chatham Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Mill, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Woods Charter on the 19th.
