Baseball Recap: Lewisville Takes a Loss

Lewisville lost against Coppell back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Farmers fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 4-3.

Lewisville got a good showing from Trenton Brantley, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Brantley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Lewisville saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andres Naranjo Olivares, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That triple was Naranjo Olivares' first of the season.

Lewisville's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Coppell, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-12.

While Lewisville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
