Soccer Game Preview: Ryan vs. Argyle

The Ryan Raiders will challenge the Argyle Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ryan's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Friday, Ryan came up short against Colleyville Heritage and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, neither Argyle nor Denton could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Argyle's goal came courtesy of Trevor Carrington, which was the first he's scored this season.

Argyle's draw gives them a new season record of 6-3-2. As for Ryan, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-2.

Everything went Ryan's way against Argyle in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Ryan made off with a 4-0 victory. Will Ryan repeat their success, or does Argyle have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
