Softball Recap: Brookfield Warriors vs. Memorial Red Devils

After losing to Memorial the last time they met, Brookfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors walked away with a 12-9 win over the Red Devils on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Madison Obermiyer made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off ten hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Elaina Boyce was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. McKenna Penwell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
