Soccer Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

Chaparral entered their contest against Lake Belton on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bobcats came up short against the Broncos, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Chaparral can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while Lake Belton are ranked 195th).

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 5-13-3. As for Lake Belton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chaparral will square off against rival Ellison at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lake Belton is set to face off against their familiar foe University at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
