Bennett piles up the points against Mardela

Recap: Bennett Clippers vs. Mardela Warriors

In what's become a running theme this season, the Bennett Clippers gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They breezed by Mardela at home to the tune of 83-28. Winning may never get old, but Bennett sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Bennett was led to victory by Zakai Smullen and Jace Hudson. Smullen scored 18 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Hudson scored 19 points along with nine steals. Hudson hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Darion Collins, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Bennett's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38 points. As for Mardela, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Bennett will head out on the road to challenge Decatur at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Decatur's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four contests. Mardela won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wicomico at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th.
