Basketball Recap: Bigfork Comes Up Short

Bigfork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 106-39 defeat at the hands of the Deer River Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Warriors are ranked 51st).

Bigfork's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Deer River, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bigfork will challenge Lake of the Woods at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Deer River, they will face off against East Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
