These were the sharp-shooters, the top 50 girls basketball 3-point makers in the country for 2019-20.

When teams needed long-range shooting, these were the players who made the most 3s.

Of the top 50, 25 were seniors, 14 were juniors, six were sophomores and five were freshman. California is where most of the Top 50 list came from with 13, followed by Texas with 10.

Everyone else was well off, with only one state recording more than two top 3-pointers, and that was Florida with three. Those with two were Tennessee, Illinois, North Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri, Arizona, Indiana and Florida. Those with one were Louisiana, Washington, Nebraska, New York, Arkansas, West Virginia and Coloado.

The national leader is a national record holder.

Carrie Johnson, a 5-foot-8 guard from Collinsville (Texas) set a national record according to the NFHS Record Book, with 175 3-pointers, giving her 560 for her career, which is also a national mark.

Johnson averaged 25.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 7.2 assists and 3.6 steals per game for the 29-7 Pirates.
