Basketball Recap: Clay Center Takes a Loss

Clay Center has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 54-45 to the Rock Creek Mustangs on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-46 back in January.

Clay Center's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Rock Creek, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rock Creek, they will head out to challenge Wamego on Tuesday. Wamego is on a four-game streak of home wins, Rock Creek a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
