Basketball Recap: Whiting Takes a Loss

Whiting was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Lowell Red Devils, falling 52-22. If the Oilers were looking for revenge after losing 55-41 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lowell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Grskovich out in front who went 6-for-9 en route to 12 points. Cooper Carey was another key player, putting up nine points.

Whiting's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Lowell, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coming up, Whiting is taking a road trip to square off against DeMotte Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lowell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-55 loss against Hanover Central on the 14th.
