Volleyball Game Preview: Sierra Canyon Trailblazers vs. Harvard-Westlake Wolverines

Sierra Canyon has won seven straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Harvard-Westlake has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Trailblazers will host the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Sierra Canyon is headed into this one coming off a big win against nationally ranked Marymount (Sierra Canyon was ranked second at the time). The Trailblazers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sailors on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 12-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Harvard-Westlake hadn't done well against Bishop Alemany recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wolverines blew past the Warriors 3-0. The game was the first time the Wolverines have beaten the Warriors on their court since September 29, 2021.

Harvard-Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Sierra Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 34-3.

Everything went Sierra Canyon's way against Harvard-Westlake when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Sierra Canyon made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Trailblazers repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
